Previous Meetings

The discovery of the first known poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) in the 1960s stimulated research leading to the discovery of multiple PARPs, to the central role of poly(ADP-ribose) metabolism in the maintenance of genomic integrity and more recently to targeting poly(ADP-ribose) metabolism for new therapeutic development. The development of this research area has been facilitated by a series of 16 international meetings that have rotated between Europe, North America, and Japan as shown below:
